I'm continuing to build up surfaces and underpaintings on more canvases. The smaller ones are 10 x 10 and the larger one is 24 x 30. There is much work to be done on the large one that's on it's way to being another waterscape based on my 8 x 10 piece titled "Water's Edge Abstracted".
I built up some texture with torn up old photo paper and modeling paste and am now having fun applying color to come up with a composition. Purely intuitive work. 10 X 10 X 7/8 canvas.

I'm simplifying the former painting - eliminating some detail and creating calm areas for the eyes to rest. This is 18 x 24 x 5/8" stretched canvas. $450 + shipping.
Getting back on the horse after dealing with sciatica - feel like creating again! I'm covering up an old 20 x 24 painting on canvas that had some nice collage pieces on it - I love the TEXTURE that shows through, especially the strip of embossed paper that's vertical, left of center. Oh boy, looks like another WATER PAINTING is emerging and I hope to keep it rather abstract and use pigment rubbed in with paper towels - glazing over other colors. It's play time!
