You can see that I eliminated large black areas since my last post of this piece. However, I left random
black marks to retain the abstracted quality and also to help the eyes move around. At the top, there's now
a calm place for the eyes to rest. Definitely is more light and airy now. I have completed
a companion piece, both 30x30 on canvas. I have submitted these images to a designer for her

Here I am visiting Art in Action the working studio and gallery sponsored by The Geezer Gallery. My larger paintings are on the wall in the left photo and a few small paintings are not in view. Artist Leslie Eggers was hard at work. Hours are 11 to 6 Wed to Sun. It's directly north of the OHSU Tram on Moody St. in the Emery building, street level.

I'm going for an impressionistic feel perhaps leaning a bit into the abstract for my nature paintings. I haven't used reds/pinks much in my former work so this is fun. The photo does not reflect the saturation of the orange or the violet blues, but it's difficult to get all colors represented perfectly.
