Melody, these are SO soft and beautiful! They all look like they are done, to me. Very mood-creating. I am going into a softer direction, using my older Watercolor thumbnail wash studies (3 values only) as a suggestion for large, loose Oil paintings on gallery canvas. Question: Are these oil? How long do you wait before varnishing them?
Hi Suzanne - thank you! I think they are finished, too. They are acrylic on wood panels. For oils, honestly, I've read that one should wait 6 months for varnishing. I would ask an oil painting teacher about that. For acrylics, I can varnish the next day. Great idea to use prior work and studies to go large. Have fun :-)
